人事考査レポートの原文と和訳

「人事考査レポート
アシスタントプログラマーのボブスミスはいつも
自分の部屋で仕事に専念しています。一方、他の連中たちは
おしゃべりに夢中で時間を無駄にしています。ボブは
喜んで同僚の仕事を手伝います。彼の手伝いがなければ
仕事が時間どおりに終わることはありません。また、ボブは
休み時間を返上してまで仕事に打ち込みますが、他の連中は
だらだらと休み続けます。ボブは専門分野における知識が
豊富であるにもかかわらず、そのことにうぬぼれることは
まったくありません。ボブがこの会社にいなければ、
仕事は停滞してしまうでしょう。ボブの待遇を改善すれば
もっと仕事がはかどるでしょう。結論として、ボブをただちに
管理職に昇進させることを提案いたします。この人事はすぐに
処理してください。
プロジェクトリーダー」
後日、人事部にプロジェクトリーダーから次のメモが届いた。
「先日のレポートの件ですが、ボブが盗み見ていたようで、自分で
勝手に書き足していたようです。お手数ですが、奇数の行だけを読んで
ください。

本当かどうか知らんが原文は↓らしい。
Bob Smith, my assistant programmer, can always be found
hard at work in his cubicle. Bob works independently, without
wasting company time talking to colleagues. Bob never
thinks twice about assisting fellow employees, and he always
finishes given assignments on time. Often, Bob takes extended
measures to complete his work, sometimes skipping coffee
breaks. Bob is an individual who has absolutely no
vanity in spite of his high accomplishments and profound
knowledge in his field. I firmly believe that Bob can be
classified as a high-caliber employee, the type that cannot be
dispensed with. Consequently, I duly recommend that Bob be
promoted to executive management, and a proposal will be
executed as soon as possible.

Sorry, but that idiot was reading over my shoulder while I wrote the report sent to you earlier today. Kindly read only the odd numbered lines of my assessment.

コレがネイティブのジョークって奴なのか
しかし日本語訳した奴もすごいと思う
